Northwind started as a counter and a van. It is bigger now, but it is still run by the family that opened it.
How we got here
Ray Northwind opened the doors in 1994 with a rented unit, a landline and a reputation earned on building sites across Dade County.
The business grew the way trade businesses do: one contractor telling another that the order turned up when it was promised. We added a warehouse in 2003, a second van in 2008, and the website you are reading in 2016.
What has not changed is who picks your order. It is packed here, by people who have used the tools they are putting in the box.

We answer the phone
A real person at the counter who knows the catalog.
We stand behind it
If it fails on site, bring it back. We sort it out first and argue with the manufacturer later.
